Kidderminster's Bodenham Arboretum chosen as set for BBC's Silent Witness

STAFF at Bodenham Arboretum have been delighted that the venue has been chosen as a filming location for the 30th series of hit BBC crime drama ‘Silent Witness’.

The programme is set – and primarily filmed – in Birmingham and surrounding locations.

Posting pictures on social media, Bodenham Arboretum said: “For those of you who have visited Bodenham in the last two weeks you may have wondered what was going on – cryptic signage, trailers, security etc, occupying two of our car parks.

“Well, now all can be revealed – Bodenham had the privilege of being chosen as the BBC drama’s ‘Silent Witness’ base camp whilst filming locally for the 30th series.

“Staff couldn’t hide their delight when actress Emelia Fox, who plays pathologist Dr Nikki Alexander, popped into the visitor centre to say goodbye and happily obliged with a photocall.

“What a pleasure it has been.

“The new series will be screened in January next year – watch out for the local landmarks.”
