A KIDDERMINSTER nursery has had a significant increase in the number of two-year-old children attending this September as parents make the most of changes to government funding.
Little Trinity Nursery has seen a rise from 70 children starting last year to 104 this year.
The funding, aimed at supporting working families, means parents are taking the opportunity of nursery places for their children.
Little Trinity Nursery manager Gaynor Carter, said: “This funding is a fantastic opportunity for so many working parents as they can now access nursery places early which previously were unavailable to them.”
The government’s scheme supports child development and provides parents with flexibility.
Gaynor added: “Nursery activities are designed to nurture child development and provide new experiences not available in a home environment.
“These can range from inclusive extended curricular activities to extra-curricular sessions that parents can choose from such as dance, music and sports sessions with external specialist teachers and trainers.
“The overall focus on simply having fun whilst learning.
“We’re excited about the positive impact this funding will have on the local community and look forward to welcoming even more children in the future.”
