CHILDREN from Little Trinity Nursery pre-school in Kidderminster have been taking part in immersive workshops aimed at sparking their imagination, boosting physical activity and encouraging creative thinking.
The nursery has partnered with Hartbeeps, creators of multi-sensory musical classes, to deliver weekly ‘sound journeys’ blending storytelling, singing, creative play, role play and dressing up.
Each session begins with finger play, clapping and rhymes to help the children focus, before moving into themed physical activities before then closing with a calm, reflective quiet time.

Nursery manager Gaynor Carter said: “We wanted to broaden the range of activities on offer so that our children not only have a physical outlet, but also something that elevates what was once a gym session.
“Hartbeeps has filled that gap perfectly.”
Forming part of the weekly programme, the Yellow Bumble Bees and Red Ladybirds groups come together every Tuesday for these imaginative workshops which build on the nursery’s early years music lesson offering.
Gaynor added: “We’ve been delighted to see the children engage and be inspired as each week passes.
“The first five years of a child’s life are crucial, so targeted multi-sensory activities that develop coordination, fine motor skills, creativity, confidence, language, listening and socialisation are invaluable – and best of all, the children are loving it and just having fun.”
