London Marathon runners raise £22,276 for KEMP Hospice

Ryan Smith 23rd May, 2026

DEDICATED fundraisers raised £22,276 in support of KEMP Hospice by running this year’s London Marathon.

Six runners took part, with four awarded charity places and two more choosing to run in support of KEMP Hospice after successfully applying for ballot places.

In the lead-up to the marathon, four of the runners visited the day hospice for a special send-off event, where they spent time with patients creating banners to take with them to London.

Ian Carr, Head of Fundraising and Communications at KEMP Hospice said: “We are incredibly proud of all the runners for taking on this huge challenge.

“Each runner has their own personal reasons for wanting to support KEMP Hospice.

“Their dedication and the generosity of everyone who has supported them will make a real difference to people in our community who need our care and support services.”

KEMP Hospice is based in Wyre Forest and offers specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are living with life-limiting illness and bereavement.
