Man arrested and class A drugs seized after motorbike stop in Stourport

A MAN was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs in Stourport yesterday (Saturday).

It followed Stourport Police Safer Neighbourhood Team stopping a motorbike on Dunley Road.

Following a search of the rider, a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs was discovered.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and further searches were carried out.

The motorbike was seized and the rider was reported for multiple offences, including using a vehicle with no insurance, tax or MoT and riding otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence. Investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson from the Safer neighbourhood Team said: “This arrest demonstrates our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and keeping our communities safe.




“We will continue to act on intelligence and take robust action against those who seek to bring harm to our neighbourhoods.”
