Man assaulted in racially aggravated attack in Hagley

A RACIALLY aggravated assault in Hagley on Sunday (September 21) has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.

On Birmingham Road at around 12.15pm, near the roadworks area heading towards Stourbridge Road, a man assaulted another.

During the incident, in traffic, a man got out of his car and assaulted another man in the car behind whilst making racially aggravated comments towards him.

The victim was travelling in a black Toyota Yaris and the suspect in a beige Citroen Berlingo.

PC Unitt said: “This was a particularly distressing incident as it happened in a busy area in the middle of the day so was witnessed by lots of people, including several children.

“If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or perhaps have dashcam or mobile phone footage which shows it, please do get in touch.”
