A MAN has been charged with arson following a house fire in Kidderminster on Sunday.
Daniel Jagoda, 37, of Connaught Avenue, Kidderminster is set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on September 15.
The charge is in relation to the blaze on Connaught Avenue.
Four fire crews – two from Wyre Forest and one each from Bromsgrove and Droitwich – used water jets to extinguish the fire but the bungalow was completely destroyed in the incident.
Neighbouring properties were checked for fire spread and floor damage.
West Midlands Ambulance Service attended and one person was treated by paramedics for the effects of smoke inhalation before they were discharged at the scene.
Cadent and National Grid isolated the utilities and water was also isolated at street level.
Thermal imaging cameras were used by firefighters to check for hot spots to ensure the blaze did not reignite.
