A MAN has died following an incident at a Wolverley pub.
The Park Gate pub was closed on Wednesday, April 8 following an incident involving the man, and emergency services were called.
West Mercia Police confirmed today (April 15) that the man has sadly died.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death; however, it is not believed to be any third-party involvement or gross negligence.
The Health and Safety Executive has been updated on the matter.
The pub remained closed throughout April 8 before reopening the following day.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.35pm on Wednesday, April 8 to a medical emergency on Stourbridge Road in Parkgate, Kidderminster. One ambulance, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a Community First Responder (CFR) attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found a man in a critical condition. Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support to him which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was conveyed for further treatment.”
