New date for Habberley Valley Nature Reserve works after snow cancellation

Tristan Harris 14th Jan, 2026

THE WORK on the entrance to Habberley Valley nature reserve, in Kidderminster will get under way tomorrow (January 15) after it had to be cancelled last week due to frosty conditions.

In order for the works to take place, the nature reserve was due to shut yesterday and today.

Essential resurfacing works are due on the main entrance track.

The work will address potholes along the tarmac section between the main road and the visitor car park, making sure there is a smoother and safer experience for visitors throughout the year.

The reserve is due to be fully reopened tomorrow with its revamped entrance track.

Bosses at the reserve said they were looking forward to welcoming back visitors.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these important improvements,” they said.

While the reserve is closed, people are urged to visit: orlo.uk/4wtza to check out the other beautiful Wyre Forest nature reserves which can be explored.
