New Kidderminster church and hub to spread the word of God

Ryan Smith 12th Apr, 2026

A NEW Kidderminster church and community hub has opened to spread the word of God and create a welcoming venue for everyone.

The new Revival Fires was recently opened by the Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun Doug Hine, together with Town Crier Stephen Day.

The congregation meets every Sunday at its new home on Oxford Street, opposite Kidderminster Town Hall, to worship Jesus and give testimonies of God’s goodness in people’s lives.

It will also work with the police, NHS and Kidderminster Town Council.

Revival Fires received the keys for its new home back in July 2025 and spent the next few months converting it into a church.

Revival Fires is a ministry originally based in Dudley, before expanding to Kidderminster.

It was established by Trevor and Sharon Baker in 1998.

They said: “Our desire has always been to have a gathering place in the heart of the nation where people could come to seek God’s presence and experience the fire of revival, as the Holy Spirit touched people’s lives, bringing renewed passion for Jesus, healing for their bodies and freedom from oppression.

“The vision at Revival Fires is deeply rooted in Kidderminster’s historic motto – with God’s help, through industry and arts, we will flourish.

“This guiding conviction has shaped the design, purpose, and heart of the new hub, creating a space where creativity, community service, practical support, and spiritual life can grow side by side.”

Coun Hine added:”I congratulate the pastors and volunteers who have committed their time, enthusiasm and skills to making this place a reality.

“I look forward to seeing this new hub becoming embedded in the Kidderminster community as a welcoming space where creativity, community service, practical support, and spiritual life can grow.”
