Open day at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre to give a glimpse 'behind the scenes' and showcase roles

Tristan Harris 1st Sep, 2025

THE ROSE Theatre in Kidderminster will open its doors between 10am and 2pm on September 13 to give people a behind the scenes look at the venue and showcase what it has to offer.

The Nonentities group opens its 24/25 season on September 8 with The Unfriend – a fantastic play by Steven Moffat.

The set for the production will be on stage for visitors to have a look around on the open day.

And the theatre has recently had a bit of a refurbishment with new carpet and a fresh coat of paint in the auditorium.

Whether people just want a look at how it all works, have a snoop around backstage, check out the impressive wardrobe or explore the Aladdin’s cave of a props room, everyone is welcome.

People looking for a new hobby or interest are also being sought to join the theatre group’s ranks.

Those wanting to have a go at treading the boards, painting or lighting them are being urged to also go along on the open day.

A spokesperson for the theatre said: “Maybe visitors will have a particular skill and experience in sound or lighting and would like to offer their services.

“Whatever your interest, why not pop along to the Rose Theatre in Kidderminster on September 13.

“You’ll find a warm welcome, members of the society to talk to and a free cup of tea – what’s not to like?”

The Box Office will be open to purchase tickets for the coming season.
