Over 50s showcase returns to highlight activities in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley

Kidderminster Editorial 12th Sep, 2025

THE OVER-50s Showcase returns this autumn to celebrate community and connections, writes Isabel Matthews.

Organised by Wyre Forest District Council, the event is taking place in three different venues – St George’s Hall in Bewdley on September 23, The Civic in Stourport on October 15 and at Kidderminster Town hall on November 13. All events run from 10am to 12pm

Free to attend, the showcase events provide a great chance to simply meet and connect with others, ask questions, and find out what is available locally, all in a calm and welcoming environment.

Coun Chris Rogers, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for housing, health and wellbeing, said: “These events bring together trusted local organisations which can offer practical advice and friendly guidance – whether it’s about staying active, managing finances or finding community.

“We want everyone to feel welcome and informed and to leave knowing help is available and how to access it.”

Making sure there is something for everyone, organisers say the showcase will bring together local bodies offering advice and information on healthy living, finances, benefits and community services.

Confirmed community groups and service providers attending include: Simply Limitless, Age UK, Community First, Kidderminster Day Care, Barnado’s, Act on Energy, BT Digital Voice, local repair cafes, Wyre Forest litter pickers and many more.
