POLICE in Stourport have been clamping down on illegal parking in the town centre.
On Friday, officers from the Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) joined forces with Civil Enforcement Officers from Wyre Forest District Council (WFDC) to conduct joint patrols.
The operation was launched in response to numerous public complaints regarding illegal parking.
The practice has been causing obstructions to the free flow of traffic and raising safety concerns for both motorists and pedestrians.
During the patrols, officers engaged with drivers, issued enforcement notices where needed, and provided education around responsible parking.
The joint presence aimed to reassure the public and deter further incidents of inconsiderate or unlawful parking.
