Police and partners target unsafe school parking in Stourport

Tristan Harris 9th Mar, 2026

OFFICERS from Stourport Police Safer Neighbourhood Team undertook an operation following concerns about unsafe parking during school pick-up and drop-off times.

They worked with Wyre Forest District Council enforcement to speak to residents and address issues.

If vehicles block a driveway and stop motorists exiting, it is a police matter.

But if a vehicle blocks a driveway a motorist is trying to get onto, that is a council matter.

Illegal and dangerous parking – on white zigzags or blocking emergency access – can be reported to police online at: orlo.uk/6JvPb or via 101.

Anyone with video footage can visit: orlo.uk/XY0uV to submit it via Operation Snap.

Other parking issues – eg on double yellow lines, dropped kerbs, school entrance markings – should be reported to the local council.

Visit: orlo.uk/dQW84 for more information on parking and abandoned vehicles.
