BURGLARS attempted to break into a property in Cookley.
The raiders struck at a property in Austcliffe Road at some point between 4.30pm and 6.30pm yesterday (Friday).
They used a metal object to force the lock on a door of the home and, although they were unsuccessful, there was a substantial amount of damage caused to the lock.
The property is in a semi rural location with a public right of way/ footpath nearby.
Police are investigating and have urged any witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
