A MOTORCYCLIST died after a crash in Stourport on Friday.

The collision on the A451 Minster Road, at the junction of Walter Nash Road, occurred at 7.15pm and involved a Yamaha XJR1300 motorbike.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident.

Among the medics were a paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhil.

The man, who was in his 50s, was in a critical condition and was receiving CPR by an off-duty paramedic and firefighters at the scene.

Crews took over resuscitation efforts but, sadly, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.

Officers from West Mercia Police are investigating and have urged witnesses or anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage to email: [email protected] with the details.
