KNITTERS and crocheters are being urged to get involved in Bewdley’s Community Poppy Project ahead of this year’s Remembrance Sunday.
Participants will help create a powerful community poppy display as part of the project which Bewdley Town Council is working with St Anne’s Church on.
They are calling on local residents and groups to make red, white and lavender poppies which will form part of a large temporary display on St Anne’s Church this autumn.
Yarn is provided free, all skill levels are welcome and people can make just one poppy or many.
Anyone interested in taking part or find out more should contact Bewdley Town Council – by calling 01299 400157, by emailing: [email protected] or by visiting: facebook.com/bewdleytowncouncil – Bewdley Town Council’s Facebook page.
A spokesperson for the project said: “Let’s come together to create something meaningful.”
