THE VIOLENCE Against Women and Girls (VAWG) self-defence and personal safety sessions in Stourport are under way.
The second event in the series – at St Michael’s Church – was attended by more than 20 women and girls who got hands-on learning practical techniques.
Wyre Forest Police said: “The feedback from participants was fantastic and we are looking forward to the next sessions.”
Further sessions are due to take place and there are spaces available for any women and girls who want to take part.
These are at Areley Kings Village Hall, Areley Common Road, from 2.45pm to 4.15pm on Wednesdays – December 3 and 17.
Others take place at St Michael’s Church, Church Drive – the next one is between 5.45pm and 7.15pm on Wednesday, December 10.
Those aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult who is over the age of 18.
