Serial Kidderminster shoplifter banned from Tesco Express and B&M

Ryan Smith 7th Apr, 2026

A SERIAL Kidderminster shoplifter has been banned from entering several town stores, including Tesco Express and B&M.

Samantha James, 39, of Baxter Avenue, was handed a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) on March 30 at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court.

James targeted several shops from January to March this year.

She was arrested on March 28 and later charged with 10 counts of theft from a shop.

The conditions of the CBO prohibit her from entering Tesco Express on Stourbridge Road and B&M on Spennells Trading Estate.

James is also banned from entering Matalan on Park Lane.

She is also required to leave any retail premises when asked by staff or authorised security.

PC Luke Catmur, of the Broadwaters safer neighbourhood team, said: “James is a prolific shoplifter, and I’m pleased that this CBO has been granted.

“I hope that it will help to protect retailers and the public from her continuous offending.

“We continue to work closely with local retailers to reduce shoplifting and to help keep our communities safe.”

Anyone who sees James in breach of this CBO should report it to the police on 101.
