THE PRESTIGIOUS Green Flag awarded to Kidderminster’s Broadwaters Mill Park will be officially raised next week.
Everyone is welcome to the event, which will be held at the park at 11am on Friday, August 29.
Broadwaters Mill Park is the only one in the town to achieve the status this year.
The Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun Doug Hine, will perform the raising of the flag which is the international mark of excellence for parks and green spaces.
Light refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome to bring their own picnic and spend the day enjoying the park.
Kidderminster Town Council and the Friends of Broadwaters Mill Park have organised the event.
A spokesperson said: “Let’s come together to celebrate this achievement for our community and our green spaces.
“We can’t wait to see you there.”
