Spooky night in store at Kidderminster Library ghost story reading

Tristan Harris 31st Aug, 2025

A GHOST story reading which has packed out venues across the Midlands is coming to Kidderminster Library.

The Librarian of Weeping Bank will bring his ‘Tales After Dark’ to the town for the first time from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, September 11.

Weeping Bank brings engaging, candlelit performances of ghost stories to community spaces and theatres, creating intimate and unique experiences for both avid and reluctant readers, gothic horror fans and lovers of traditional storytelling.

Writer and journalist Bronte Schlitz described it as ‘a masterclass in the art of the modern ghost story’.

Tickets, costing £6, can be bought from ticketsource.co.uk/weeping-bank.

The readings, because of its moments of heightened tension, are unsuitable for those aged under 15 or of a nervous disposition.
