SPRING HAS SPRUNG - Send us your bloomin' great pictures in Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport

Tristan Harris 22nd Apr, 2026

SPRING has sprung in Wyre Forest – this picture of the beautiful swathe of bluebells was posted by Forestry England on social media.

The blooms flower from around mid-April to late May.

The blue and violet bells can be found carpeting the forest floor beneath broadleaves.

Native British bluebells droop to one side, unlike the invasive Spanish cousins which grow upright and have flowers around the stem.

Bluebells take at least five years for a seed to develop into a bulb.
