A MAN and a teenage boy have been arrested after reports of a reportedly stolen motorbike causing a nuisance on The Snipes in Stourport.
Officers from Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were called to a location near Windsor Drive at around 9.40am on Tuesday (March 10) where two people on a white Honda CB125F motorbike were committing antisocial behaviour.
A man and a boy wearing balaclavas were located and, following a foot chase, a 14-year-boy was detained before being arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
The man fled on the motorbike and a dog unit, and the National Police Air Service helicopter were called upon to help find him.
The bike was found dumped near Larford Lane before the man was found by the air service at 11.38am on Marlborough Drive.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle as well as driving other than in accordance with his licence and driving without insurance.
Both suspects were released under investigation as enquiries continue.
PC Mark Bennett of Stourport SNT said: “We are pleased to have got two arrested and the motorbike seized following the antisocial behaviour reported on The Snipes yesterday morning.
“The motorbike – which was reported stolen in November – appears to have been converted making it louder than it was manufactured to be and has been recovered for forensics.
“We believe this is the bike that has been causing ASB around The Walshes estate and The Snipes in the past couple of weeks, so we are pleased it is off the roads and two arrests were made.”
