Stourport Spartans' Keaton to run 100 miles for MenWalkTalk

Kidderminster Editorial 5 hours ago

A COACH at Stourport Spartans Boxing Club is preparing to run 10 miles every day for 10 consecutive days, to raise vital funds for MenWalkTalk.

Keaton Rushton will begin his extraordinary 100-mile endurance challenge on Saturday (August 1).

Keaton hopes the challenge will not only raise vital funds. And he hopes it will encourage more open conversations around mental health and highlight the importance of seeking support when needed.

Supporters will be able to follow his progress, via Facebook and TikTok, where he will document his journey.

MenWalkTalk organises and delivers free walk and talk groups for men aged 18 and over across England.

Led by trained volunteer walk leaders, the groups offer a welcoming and supportive environment. There, men can meet others, share their experiences and find positive ways to manage their mental wellbeing.

Away from fundraising, Keaton is making a name for himself in the boxing world.

He is a talented local boxer who has competed in four amateur bouts and emerged victorious in each one.

Keaton is equally passionate about helping others achieve their goals through his coaching business, Keaton Rushton Coaching.

Working with people of all abilities, Keaton combines technical boxing instruction with motivation and personal development, helping clients build confidence, improve their fitness and work towards success.

At the time of writing, Keaton has already raised £230 towards his £500 target and, he said, every donation regardless of its size, would help reach the total.

Keaton hopes, with determination, community spirit and an important cause at its heart, his 100-mile challenge is set to inspire supporters across the region while making a meaningful contribution to the work of MenWalkTalk.
