STRIDE INTO CHRISTMAS - KEMP Hospice's Santa Fun Run to return to Kidderminster

Ryan Smith 29th Oct, 2025

PEOPLE can stride into Christmas and help their local hospice at the same time in Kidderminster’s annual Santa Fun Run at a brand new location.

Runners in Santa suits will set off from Wolverley Memorial Hall on Sunday, December 7, for the KEMP Hospice event.

Runners can choose from a timed 10K, a 5K, and a 1K Kids’ Santa Dash, with each event open to all ages and abilities.

A flurry of Father Christmases will take in canal paths and countryside views, while 10K participants will pass by KEMP Hospice itself.

All cash raised will go to helping local people facing life-limiting illness and bereavement.

As well as the run itself, Wolverley Memorial Hall will host a day full of festive fun, with a Christmas retail stand, craft activities for children, glitter face painting and refreshments from the Community Cafe. These will include hot drinks and breakfast sandwiches.

There will be live entertainment and music throughout the day.

Graham Wallis, chair of the Wolverley Memorial Charitable Trust, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Santa Fun Run this year.

“It’s such a brilliant event that brings the whole community together. To see the Wolverley Memorial Hall and grounds filled with Santas, laughter and festive spirit is going to be something truly special.”
