THINGS TO DO - Rock Pathfinders' latest walk around Kinver

Kidderminster Editorial 13th Oct, 2025

FREE guided walks which enable participants to explore and enjoy rediscovered ancient footpaths are being offered by the Rock Pathfinders group, writes Shauna Begley.

The strolls cover between five and seven miles and usually take around two to three hours. They are walked at a brisk pace off-road and into the countryside.

The next walk will take place at 10am on November 6, meeting at the Edward Marsh Centre, Legion Drive, off High Street, Kinver.

The walks have recently been increased to twice a month and everyone is welcome to join. Dogs are not permitted.

Anyone wanting more information on this walk or future ones can visit rockpathfinders.uk for further details.

Alternatively, call Alan on 01299 400304 or email [email protected] for more.

The Rock Pathfinders is a group of keen walkers who lived in the village of Rock.

The group has now been active for 30 years. Volunteers have come together to clear and restore 149 footpaths, according to ancient maps.

For years they relied on the work and supplies of local volunteers, although now restorations and maintenance are supported by Worcestershire County Council.

Although this walk is free, a suggested annual voluntary contribution of £3 is requested for anyone wanting to join the group to help cover costs.
