THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash in Harvington, Kidderminster, yesterday (Sunday).
The collision happened around 11.35am on Worcester Road and involved two cars – a Volkswagen Polo and a Hyundai Bayon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent four ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic and the Harzardous Area Response Team to the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, a man and woman in their 70s, sustained minor injuries. She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment while he was discharged at the scene and then went to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital as a precautionary measure.
The driver of the VW Polo, a man in his 20s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, two women were treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed under emergency driving conditions to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has dash cam footage capturing the vehicles in the lead up to the incident to get in touch.
