STOURPORT Town Council has announced work has started at the popular Riverside Paddling Pool.
The first phase of the planned works to the underground pipework will commence shortly.
Additional fencing will be placed around the site to keep everyone safe whilst the work takes place.
The council notified residents in April the pool would not be fixed in time for this summer season.
This was due to complex repairs on the pool which required the attention of specialist contractors.
The plan now is to have the paddling pool re-open in time for the 2026 summer season but the council added, it was reliant on clearly dry weather in order to re-lay the pool’s surface.
