THE EMILY Jordan Foundation is appealing for people to join its volunteering team.
The charity is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with a number of projects.
The foundation helps people with learning difficulties lead fulfilled lives through projects which teach them to learn new and practical work-based skills with the aim of enabling them to find and remain in employment.
It was set up by Emily’s family and friends as her legacy after she died in April 2008 in New Zealand. It came after she finished her law degree at Swansea University.
Among the projects the charity is looking for people to volunteer on are are Twigs, which offers hands on horticulture and gardening, Spokes – refurbishing and rebuilding bikes and The Reading Project – this supports those wanting to grow their confidence in reading and literacy.
