THE Wyre Forest will be closed tomorrow (Saturday, October 4) due to adverse weather conditions.
The arrival of Storm Amy means there could be winds of up to 50mph so the decision has been taken on safety reasons.
A Wyre Forest – Forestry England spokesperson said: “We will aim to be open Sunday morning once staff have completed post storm checks.”
They apologised for any inconvenience caused and urged people to check the Wyre Forest – Forestry England Facebook page for further updates.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for tomorrow for high winds.
There is also rain forecast this afternoon and evening, turning heavier at times.
According to the Met Office, train and bus services could be affected tomorrow with journeys potentially taking longer and there could be power cuts and damage to buildings.
