When and where is the big Bewdley Christmas lights switch-on?

Ryan Smith 22nd Nov, 2025

THERE will be plenty of festive fun in Bewdley when the annual Christmas lights switch-on takes place.

The festive fun will run all afternoon next Saturday, November 29, in Bewdley Town Centre.

There will be live entertainment all afternoon, with the Mayor of Bewdley, Coun Nicole Harper, and special guests coming on stage at the top of Load Street, by St Anne’s Church, to switch on the lights at 5.30pm.

Head down the passageway beside the KEMP Hospice Charity Shop to discover the Bewdley Gingerbread House, which, from 1pm will be doubling as Santa’s Grotto.

Attendees will be able to meet the man in the big red coat, sit in his sleigh and pet the furry reindeer.

And each child under 10 will receive a free small toy or sweet from the vintage vending machine.

Festive entertainment includes visits from elves and nutcrackers, a Vintage Carousel and a human snow globe for snowy selfies and family photos.

From 11am until 6pm, there will be stalls to browse along Severn Side South, Severn Side North and Load Street at the extensive Christmas market.
