THE WINNER of the Bewdley Nutcracker Trail will be able to live his dream after being presented with his award by town mayor Coun Nicole Harper.
Edward Ree was awarded an annual family pass for the Severn Valley Railway and a certificate to celebrate his win. Last year’s fourth annual trail around the town saw people following a map and solving clues to find each nutcracker in 16 different locations.
Once found, those taking part had to write down the names of each nutcracker and return their answers to Bewdley Town Council.
The official draw, held last Monday, saw young Edward crowned the winner.
As a huge train enthusiast, Edward said he was looking forward to many trips on the Severn Valley Railway this year and expressed an interest in becoming a volunteer when he was older.
A spokesperson for Bewdley Town Council said: “Many congratulations to Edward. Bewdley Town Council would like to thank all of the shops and businesses that supported the Nutcracker Trail and to the Severn Valley Railway and Wharton Park Golf Club for donating prizes.”
