A WOMAN has died and a man has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Belbroughton, yesterday (Sunday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Heath End Road and Farley Lane at 4.43pm.
Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic, the WMAS Critical Care Car, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Strensham and a BASICS emergency doctor from Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a woman, a passenger in the first car, in a critical condition receiving care from an off-duty paramedic and immediately began administering advanced life support.
“Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
A man, the driver of the first car, was treated for serious injuries and was taken on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A second woman, the driver from the second car, was assessed and discharged at the scene.
