Wyre Forest CAB offering residents help accessing digital services

Kidderminster Editorial 4th May, 2026

The Wyre Forest Citizen’s Advice Bureau’s monthly column for the Standard.

AS MORE services move online, digital access is becoming essential, but not everyone in Wyre Forest is able to keep up.

Wyre Forest Citizens Advice is seeing the impact of digital exclusion on individuals who lack Internet access, devices or the confidence to use online systems.

From applying for benefits to booking GP appointments, many everyday tasks now require digital skills.

For some residents, particularly older people or those on low incomes, this creates significant barriers.

Without access to the internet, people can struggle to manage their finances, access support or stay informed.

Even those with access may find complex online forms or systems difficult to navigate.

Digital exclusion can also increase feelings of isolation.

As communication, services, and even social interaction shift online, those without access risk being left behind.

At Wyre Forest Citizens Advice, we are helping people build confidence and find alternative ways to access essential services.

However, more needs to be done to ensure everyone can participate fully in an increasingly digital world.

We are encouraging organisations to maintain offline options and to consider the needs of those who may not be digitally connected.

No one should be excluded from vital services simply because they are not online.

If you need help accessing services or building digital confidence, Wyre Forest Citizens Advice is here to provide free, confidential advice and support.

Please contact our Freephone number on 0808 278 7891 to speak to an adviser or email [email protected] for assistance.
