ENFORCEMENT officers from Wyre Forest District Council have been out removing illegal flyposting.
Over two days, around 30 unauthorised signs were taken down from the public highway and street furniture.
Community protection warnings have been issued to the owners of the signs.
Flyposting is the display of advertising material on buildings, street furniture or other public property without permission.
It is illegal, unfair to legitimate advertisers and can lead to serious penalties.
Those caught flyposting can face fines of up to £2,500 with additional daily fines for ongoing offences.
A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said: “Fixed Penalty Notices of £500 can also be issued and we can recover the costs of removal from those responsible.”
They urged anyone aware of any flyposting hot spots to report them via the Wyre Forest District Council Facebook page.
